Ordering & Payment
No. Reading Terminal Market is not cash-only overall, though some individual vendors there are cash-only. It varies by stall. Olympia Gyro accepts credit cards, so you don't need cash to order from us. If you're visiting other vendors, it's smart to carry some cash just in case.

The Menu
At Olympia Gyro, the chicken and the pork/lamb gyros are the most popular, so they're a safe first order. We also serve lamb souvlaki and a veggie fritter gyro. There's no single "best" — it depends on your taste. See the full menu to pick the gyro that's right for you.
The Olympia Special is any gyro — chicken, pork, lamb, or veggie — with fries and a medium soda for $18.65. It's our combo deal and the best value if you want the full Olympia Gyro experience in one order. You can swap in any gyro on the menu.
Olympia Gyro's gyro meat is roasted and sliced Greek-style. You can choose chicken, pork/lamb, lamb, or a mixed gyro, depending on what you like. The meat comes off the spit and is sliced fresh to order. Order it as a sandwich on pita with tzatziki, or as a platter.
Yes. Olympia Gyro has several vegetarian options: the Greek salad, the veggie fritter sandwich (made with fried edamame), the vegetarian sandwich, and Mama's spanakopita. Despina makes the spanakopita by hand every morning. These are the vegetarian items at Olympia Gyro, so there's a good choice if you don't eat meat.
Olympia Gyro has one fully vegan item: the stuffed grape leaves, served six per order. We want to be honest about that — our other dishes, including the vegetarian ones, aren't vegan. If you eat vegan, the stuffed grape leaves are your option at Olympia Gyro. They're made in the Greek tradition.
Yes. Despina Voulgaridis makes the baklava from scratch every morning at Olympia Gyro. It's handmade by the same family that has run the stall for decades, not bought in. We also make a baklava cheesecake if you want something a little different. Both are worth saving room for after your gyro.
Yes. Despina makes Mama's Spanakopita by hand every morning at Olympia Gyro. The spinach pie is prepared fresh daily, not pre-packaged, using the family's Greek recipe. You can order it as a side or as a platter. It's one of the vegetarian dishes at Olympia Gyro and a longtime favorite.

Yes. Olympia Gyro's recipes are authentic Greek, brought from home by the Voulgaridis family, who emigrated from Greece. Despina makes the baklava and spanakopita by hand every morning, the same way the family has for decades. This is real Greek food in Philadelphia, made by a Greek-immigrant family — not a chain.
